You do. Using GTI’s custom TEE OFF PACKET each
chapter president will choose the courses you will play, and when you will
play
them. You can play the same day every week; play every other week; or
play once a month. It is all up to what you and your fellow chapter members
want to do. Once the schedule is set, the Chapter President simply sends
us the information, and we post it in your PLAYER’S CLUBHOUSE.
After that…you’re done.

At TOUR tournaments each golfer plays for themselves (just like on any
pro tour). The top 6 finishers with the lowest NET score will earn
TOUR points. At the end of the season, the players with the top 6 highest
point totals shall qualify to compete in the Chapter Championship.
In addition to these points qualifiers, each season 2 tournaments will
be deemed as Majors. The winners of the two Majors will automatically
advance to the Chapter Championship. The Chapter Championship will
then consist of: 1) the top 6 points qualifiers and 2) the winners
of the two Majors. The winner of the Chapter Championship will earn
an invitation to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

In today’s world everything has become faster and more stressful.
Our personal lives are filled with more and more things we have to do.
GTI designer and Commissioner Bill Whitwell found that he was spending
so much time making room for board meetings, youth sports, business meetings,
social appointments and other things, that he never had time for golf.
It was then he decided to make golf a personal appointment for himself.
By setting his golf schedule at the beginning of the year, and putting
the schedule into his business and personal schedules, time was automatically
built in. Starting with a foursome in 1998, it was only one year before
he found 23 other golfers who found they needed the structure of the
GTI TOUR. The result you see today is a time-tested system that results
in the greatest end product of all….stress release.

Gypsy Tours International’s design tries to help in solving the
age-old problem of those golfers who have to cheat. By breaking down
the whole TOUR into individual neighborhood chapters, it is our hope
that friends won’t cheat friends. Also, by not offering cash prizes,
there is nothing to cheat for (except bragging rights). If a chapter
has a member who does like to break the rules, simply do not invite them
back the next year…end of problem. Remember, the whole purpose
of GTI is to have FUN.

The annual membership dues in GTI are $80.00 per golfer, which includes
everything shown on the BENEFITS page
of the web site. In addition, your membership dues also go towards developing
your PLAYER’S CLUBHOUSE and aiding in the development of future
GTI programs and benefits. This cost is below most of the web tours
currently available, and makes you eligible for the GTI
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Each year the GTI staff will try to bring you new and different items
for you membership dues. Email us about our corporate and college discount
programs.

Very few. Your annual dues cover everything that involves us. The only
other costs involved are the greens fees at the courses you play. That’s
it. GTI rules allow you to buy 2 mulligans at regular tournaments (not
Majors), but that is entirely up to you. Your total year-end cost will
depend upon the greens fees you incur. Whatever your total end cost
is, it will be well below the $2000-$15,000 private clubs charge…and
a lot more FUN.

Yes. Once you have applied for a Chapter License you will receive a packet
with ideas on how you can raise money for the chapter. You may wish
to use these funds to help offset the cost of sending your Chapter
Champion to Nationals, pay for a Chapter Banquet or make a donation
to a local charity. It is all up to you. One example of a fundraiser
might be mulligans. If you have 24 golfers and each buys 2 mulligans
for $5 each at the 7 regular tournaments (remember, not allowed at
Majors), the total chapter income from this would be $1680.
